Shamari Conerly is the Food Service Director at The Winston School of Dallas. He has over 19 years experience in the food service industry, beginning in his hometown of New Orleans. His background consists of training and working with some of the finest chef’s in Louisiana, and of course watching Mom in the kitchen as a young child.
One of his most memorable mentors is Kevin Belton, a well known chef from New Orleans, who hosts his own local television cooking program. Having the advantage of being trained under a Master French Chef, given him a solid foundation of a wide range of knowledge that he was able to carry into his growing career.
Shamari has been trained on dietary and nutritional values, food contents and allergies, ServSafe Food Handler’s Certification and Project Management Certification. His knowledge and experience is broad in many ways, which simplifies new challenges for him. His heart will always be partial to the New Orleans cuisine which consists of Creole or French cooking. He currently resides in North Richland Hills with his wife, Brandy and six year old son, Tanner. He enjoys spending time with his family, playing baseball and practicing on new dish ideas.
Shamari has been with SAGE Dining Services for one year, starting with Liberty Christian School in Argyle, TX, and is looking forward to continuing his growth with The Winston School of Dallas. He’s excited to have the opportunity to be a part of a great community.
