As the first learning different school in Texas to pursue International Baccalaureate (IB) certification, The Winston School is redefining what is possible for neurodiverse learners through a powerful combination of personalized support, academic challenge, and global perspective.
A Transformative Chapter for The Winston School
The Winston School has long been a leader in education for students with learning differences. Pursuing the IB framework represents the next evolution of that mission — proving that neurodiverse learners can thrive in environments that are both supportive and academically ambitious.
As the first learning different school in Texas to pursue IB certification, Winston is expanding opportunities for neurodiverse learners through a globally respected framework that emphasizes critical thinking, communication, inquiry, and real-world application.
The MYP focuses on 6th-10th grade students with 11th-12th grade students transitioning to the DP. The school is currently pursuing the MYP with plans to add the DP in two years.
We are excited to lead this work in Texas and to continue redefining what is possible for learning different students.
