A sense of community is a vital part of our Middle School program. We value the development of networks of communication — advisory groups, musical performances, and athletics all promote a feeling of belonging. The division’s skilled faculty recognizes the importance of social interaction, creates a predictable and organized structure for learning, and provides opportunities for achievement
in and out of the classroom.
At Winston, your child will learn problem-solving and study skills in a structured and highly collaborative classroom setting.
We encourage active learning through discussions, project based activities, and interdisciplinary exploration. All of this is designed to help your child develop academic skills in oral and written communication, collaboration, and critical thinking, as well as technology literacy, innovation, and global awareness.
Content-area courses are designed with student success in mind. Multi-sensory instruction, executive functioning skills, and study strategies are emphasized throughout.
