Jennifer Premo - Director
Jennifer Premo is the Director of Testing and Diagnostics at The Winston School. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Curriculum and Instruction with a Certification in Special Education at Texas A&M University. Also at Texas A&M University, Jennifer completed her Master’s in Educational Psychology. Mrs. Premo taught elementary school, both special and general education courses, for 7 years before obtaining her Educational Diagnostician Certification from Texas A&M Commerce. She was an Educational Diagnostician with Irving ISD for four years before becoming their Lead Educational Diagnostician for an additional 7 years. At Winston, Jennifer oversees all the work that is done in the Testing & Evaluation Center. This includes private client evaluations and Winston student evaluations. She ensures that private clients and their families have a wealth of information about their student’s individual learning style and the schools that the students will succeed.
Joy Apple has her Master’s degree in Education Supervision from Angelo State University with a certification in Language and Learning Disabilities. Her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education with a minor in English was completed at the University of Texas at Austin. Mrs. Apple was certified as an Educational Diagnostician at Texas Women’s University 24 years ago. Joy has a long career in the Education field. She taught 1st through 12th grades in regular and special education, in public and private schools, and retired from Irving ISD as a Special Education Coordinator with responsibilities in middle and high school. Joy has been with Winston for 10 years as an Educational Diagnostician. Joy has tested many clients throughout the years and always works with their families to find the student a school where they are able to thrive with their specific learning style.
Allison Dickey earned her Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Richmond, in Richmond Virginia and has a Master’s Degree in Education from Texas Woman’s University. Allison’s desire to better understand the distinct learning styles of her first grade students inspired her to pursue her certification as an Educational Diagnostician. With almost 10 years experience as a Diagnostician, she works to tailor each evaluation to the needs of the individual student in order to gain an understanding of their specific learning style. Allison is passionate about providing information that will elevate student performance and is experienced in the identification of a variety of learning differences. Additionally, Allison’s experience in both the public and private schools allows her to bring insight into which programs and accommodations will allow the student to thrive.
Judi Greer is an Educational Diagnostician at The Winston School. Prior to coming to Winston, Judi entered the educational workforce in far West Texas as a teacher for two years then moved to the DFW area and worked as a special education teacher in Lewisville one year before moving to Irving where she worked in the Irving ISD both as a teacher for 7 years and then as a diagnostician an additional 18 years. She also worked as a diagnostician in the Hurst-Euless-Bedford ISD 5 years before retiring. After her retirement from the public sector, Judi joined forces with The Winston School as a part-time diagnostician starting here in 2012. She has been involved with testing of private clients and Winston students and is currently working primarily with our Winston students whom she finds amazing as well as their teachers. Judi received her Master’s Degree in education from Texas Woman’s University after moving to this area. She also earned her Diagnostic Certification from TWU in Denton.
Stephanie Jones has a Master’s in Education from Lesley College with an emphasis in Learning Disabilities and Language. Before earning her M.Ed., Stephanie attended Texas Christian University and graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts majoring in Speech and Language Pathology and also received a minor in Psychology. Mrs. Jones has worked with The Winston School for 39 years as an Educational Diagnostician and teacher. Mrs. Jones is also the former Director of Testing and Research at The Winston School, but retired from a full time position and currently does private client diagnostic work for those in the community. Stephanie specializes in testing adult clients and individuals pursuing a higher education degree.
