Welcome, Winston Parents
Parents are the best supporters of the school and play a vital role in the lives of students. At Winston, we believe parental involvement is an important element of the school community. The Winston Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) invites and encourages parents to get involved by promoting fellowship among our families and providing support to our faculty and staff through volunteerism, fundraising events and community building. It’s rewarding, it’s important and it’s fun!
The school year is over and the summer fun begins! School year obligations take a back-seat to family, friends, sleeping in, and….vacation! So does this mean we check our brains at the door and abandon learning? We think not! At The Winston School, we ask our students to be summer learners. We don’t think this is a negative thing, but rather an opportunity for students and parents to come together and maintain a state of readiness for the next school year. After all, August will be here before you know it!
The Winston School requires summer work in reading for grades 3, 7, and 8; math and reading for grades 4-6; and math, English, and Art for grades 9-12.
